Sapientia Education Trust (SET) is looking to appoint an excellent teacher who is committed to inspiring children to love learning and to develop children’s personal, social and emotional skills. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work as part of a highly ambitious, driven and nurturing education trust that’s on a mission to create schools that offer something special to their pupils. SET is an expanding multi-academy trust with 13 primary and 9 secondary schools.
Ghost Hill put relationships, wellbeing and belonging at the heart of everything we do and we use restorative justice and trauma informed strategies to ensure our pupils constantly reflect on their choices, feelings and interactions with each other. Our Outstanding Ofsted Inspection in December 2023 highlighted the strength of our staff team, our Personal Development curriculum and our strong relationship with parents and the community.
We are seeking to appoint a teacher who has high expectations and has strong classroom management, with the ability to work well with a job share teacher.
THE POST
We are looking for a Year 1 Class Teacher who is passionate about education and has the energy and drive in wanting to continuously improve as a professional. We are looking for a teacher who is a life-long learner, flexible and eager to work as part of highly committed team.
The successful candidate will:
- Be an excellent teacher who understands what highly effective teaching and learning looks and feels like in the classroom;
- Be able to work within a year group team to help plan and deliver lessons.
- Have excellent communication skills and a warm and caring disposition;
- Understand the importance of an inclusive environment, have high expectations of pupil behaviour and values the importance of relationships, belonging and wellbeing;
- Have experience of working with children with SEND and a proven track record of helping all children make good progress from their starting points.
- Be a team player who is welcoming and has excellent interpersonal skills, working with a high level of professionalism.
