What skills and experience we're looking for

Essential:

The person appointed will:

• Have Qualified Teacher Status

• Have experience of Primary teaching- Specifically key stage 1

• Be committed to improving standards in learning and have high expectations for all children

• Be able to use knowledge gained through day to day assessment to meet children’s learning needs and ensure personalised learning and progression through pitched activities/tasks

• Experience in planning for success criteria (Learning outcomes) and a commitment to assessment for learning.

• Be able to engage children in learning

• Be able to manage children’s behaviour effectively to ensure that a positive classroom work ethic prevails

• Demonstrate a commitment to making a strong contribution to the ethos and aims of the school as a team member

• Be friendly, caring and approachable to all stakeholders

• Be proficient in the use of ICT

• Have a creative, dynamic and flexible approach to teaching and learning

• Display a commitment towards safe-guarding young people

• Require an enhanced DBS completed and submitted by the school prior to appointment

• Have appropriate references

• Be able to demonstrate relevant qualifications by producing certificates.

Desirable:

The person appointed may be able to:

• Have experience of leading a curriculum subject across the whole school

• Demonstrate experience of accurate assessment of children’s learning

• Demonstrate knowledge of whole class guided reading, maths mastery and Oracy approaches to teaching and learning

• Demonstrate knowledge of research informed practice

• Join activities both during and outside the school day

What the school offers its staff

We are looking for a teacher who can motivate and inspire children to be

‘Independent, Articulate and Aspirational.’

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher, with excellent teaching skills for a Year 4 class for April 2024 onwards. The post is a full-time position working in Year 4. Our Year 4 is a 3-form entry year group and as such our new teacher will work within a strong, supportive team.

We are seeking to appoint a teacher who thrives working as part of a team and enjoys our creative approach to curriculum planning and shares our aspirations for our pupils. We are a friendly and caring school; the children are enthusiastic, staff are dedicated, and parents are supportive.
