What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic teacher with Qualified Teacher Status and successful primary teaching experience. Experience of teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly upper Key Stage 2, would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will:

  • Build positive relationships with children, colleagues and families.

  • Deliver engaging, well-planned teaching with high expectations for every child.

  • Adapt teaching thoughtfully to meet individual needs, including those of children with SEND.

  • Use assessment effectively to identify misconceptions and move learning forward.

  • Establish clear routines and a positive, inclusive classroom.

  • Work collaboratively, reflect on their practice and respond positively to feedback.

  • Support our Christian vision and values and share our commitment to safeguarding.

This is a full-time Year 5 class teacher post, fixed term from 1 January 2027 to 31 August 2027, on the Main Pay Range M1–M6. The role focuses on strong classroom teaching and does not include a designated subject leadership responsibility.
