Class Teacher Year 6 job summary

This is a unique opportunity to shape pupils’ outcomes at a crucial stage in their education. As a Year 6 teacher, you will not only prepare pupils academically for national assessments, but also nurture the independence, resilience, and curiosity they need to make a confident transition to secondary school. You will:


  • Deliver engaging, ambitious teaching that ensures excellent progress and attainment.
  • Shape and support pupils’ transition to secondary school with confidence and success.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture where all pupils are valued and challenged.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers as part of our strong school community.
