• Strong subject and curriculum knowledge across the National Curriculum, with a particular strength in music
• Knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies
• Understanding of how children learn and ability to adapt teaching to meet their needs
• Ability to build effective working relationships with pupils and colleagues
• Knowledge of safeguarding guidance and requirements
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to motivate and manage behaviour effectively
• Good ICT skills, particularly for supporting learning and music provision
