Hillside Avenue Primary and Nursery School is a successful and popular school in Thorpe St Andrew, to the East of Norwich. We have a proud record of sporting achievement and prioritise the role of performance and music as vehicles for developing the talents of all of our children and staff. We have high expectations for everyone in our school, making use of staff skills and experience, resources, technology and our extensive school site to fulfil our vision to enable children to be ‘the best they can be’. We are looking for an excellent teacher who:

  • Has extensive experience of teaching in upper KS2, particularly in Year 6.

  • Is able to work as part of a team focused on high expectations and improving outcomes.

  • Has proven strategies for raising attainment by removing barriers for all children.

  • Is able to take on subject leadership responsibilities.

  • Can offer wider curricular opportunities for the children (clubs, visits …)

  • Is always looking to respond to feedback and improve their practice.

  • Is willing to go the extra mile to help all children to achieve their best.

  • Is looking for leadership development opportunities as the next step in their career.
