What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Be a practicing Catholic and/or be in sympathy and supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school
  • Be an excellent teacher with qualifications or experience appropriate to primary education
  • To have a commitment to raising standards for all pupils
  • A commitment to providing a high quality learning environment which meets the physical, emotional, social and educational needs of the children.
  • Have a good knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Have good practice in classroom management, including the provision for equal opportunities
  • Excellent written and oral presentational skills; appropriate ICT skills.
  • Have the ability to maintain class records and assessments
  • Have the ability to use initiative and work as a flexible and cooperative member of a team
  • Have the ability to meet the pastoral needs of children and maintain high standards of behaviour

  • Have the ability to relate positively with adults and children and a commitment to partnership with the Executive Headteacher, governors, staff, parents and the wider community.
  • Have the ability to coordinate a subject area
  • Have good interpersonal skills, a sense of humour and enjoy getting involved in the aspects of the wider life of the school.
  • Fully adhere to all school policies

What the school offers its staff

The Governors are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, engaging and inspirational teachers to join our team of friendly and hardworking staff at our Infant School. Our schools are forward - thinking, set in beautiful surroundings with well- motivated pupils.

Our two schools work together as a federation, so whilst the post advertised will be based at the Infant school, there is the expectation that staff may be required to work across both schools.
