What skills and experience we're looking for

Class Teacher for Bumblebees (Reception/Year 1) classand aClass Teacher for Badgers (Year 5) class

Are you a kind and hardworking teacher, who believes that a good cup of tea, a chocolate biscuit, and a touch of humour can help to solve just about anything?

If the answer is yes...please read on...The Governors of our vibrant Catholic school are excited to invite applications for the role of class teacher in our Bumblebees and Badgers classes (named after the animals we can see in Priory Park, which surrounds our lovely school).

Whilst the mix of EYFS and Year 1 could be seen as a bit more of a challenge, there is a lot of support in place to help manage this and the wonderful Bumblebees classroom and outdoor learning area lends itself to achieving EYFS and Year 1 outcomes. The Bumblebees class will be unusually small in September 2025, with around 20 children in total. All our Key Stage 2 classes are small, with around 20-22 children.

You will find that St Mary Immaculate is full of eager learners and smiling faces - adults and children alike. Both roles are full time positions and begin on 1 September 2025.

St Mary Immaculate Catholic Primary is a genuinely enjoyable place to work. We work hard to build excellent relationships with pupils, parents and the parish, where kindness, trust and good communication are the foundations for all that we do. We are a gorgeous, growing school, continuously looking to improve the learning experiences of our pupils, whilst balancing our teachers’ work-life balance.

We seek a teacher who:

o has a growth mindset and eagerly promotes this within their class,

o demonstrates enthusiasm and creativity,

o is a confident and passionate user of technology in the classroom,
