Class Teaching Assistant (with additional MSA duties) job summary
Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is a member of St John the Baptist Catholic Multi Academy Trust. The school's mission is to serve God and one another through Love, Faith and Hope.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and dynamic teaching assistant to join our hard-working and supportive team. The successful candidate will demonstrate energy, pride in their work and a passion for children's learning. As part of our team, you will support the class teacher in delivering activities and interventions, support children with their social interactions in class helping them to form positive relationships with their peers.
The post holder will work 26.7 hours a week as a teaching assistant (39 weeks a year, Scale C) and also 5 hours a week as an MSA (38 weeks a year, Scale B).
The successful candidate will need to:
- be sympathetic towards the aims and ethos of our Catholic school
- work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENDCO
- challenge, motivate and inspire children to achieve their best
- have an approachable, positive mindset and be able to build strong relationships
