Level 3 Classroom Assistant (EYFS)

Fixed term contract
32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team and work with us in developing and growing our popular pre-school setting. You will be employed on a fixed term basis to cover a period of long term absence so we are looking for a confident person who can adapt quickly to our setting and routines, making an immediate impact.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have a Level 3 qualification in Early Years - this is a mandatory requirement
  • Be able to provide an environment that delivers both education and care and enhances children’s learning opportunities.
  • Have a working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Have high expectations and be committed to raising the achievement of all children.
  • Be supportive of the ethos, vision and values of the school.
  • Have good communication, numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Have a personal commitment to ongoing professional development.

Mears Ashby is a proud member of PDET, alongside 35 other schools in the Rutland, Peterborough and Northamptonshire area. PDET is responsible for employing all staff and managing the finances and other central services for the Academies in the Trust. These services include HR support; facilities and premises; procurement and school effectiveness.
