We are looking for professionals who are passionate about their key role in supporting children to learn and develop in line with our high standards of excellence. A strong applicant will have recent successful experiences and professional knowledge gained from current work in a school setting. You may have experiences that are in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 – we are keen to hear from you as we have capacity to offer posts to the applicants who best fit our school ethos and culture, as well as meet our business needs.
It is highly desirable for applicants to have a minimum of a Level 3 EYFS relevant and recognised qualification as specified by the DfE (and is listed here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-qualifications-achieved-in-england) It is also advantageous for applicants to hold a current Paediatric First Aid qualification.
Ideal candidates will:
- Have recent experience of working with primary school age children, particularly in a school setting.
- Have a recent background of effective working with children at this age and stages of development.
- Be confident to work independently under the directions provided by teachers, external professionals and the Senior Leadership Team.
- Have experience of and working knowledge of safeguarding children in an education setting.
- Be supportive of the Christian nature of our school vision and culture.
- Have additional qualifications to support their effective practice, such as Paediatric First Aid, or other similar professional development relevant to working with children of this age and stage of development.
- Have good interpersonal skills; with children and young people, their parents, external professionals and the wider school community.
- Have a strong team spirit and the flexibility to work under direction from their class teacher but also know when and how to use their initiative to best effect for the children.
We value our school and positive working environment that upholds the principles and values of our Christian foundation firmly at the centre of all we do. You will be welcomed into a friendly, supportive team who work closely together, and you will be involved in providing inspiration to EYFS pupils through the development of exciting and engaging activities in all areas of learning.
We can offer you:
- A happy and caring setting where all staff are valued and supported to develop in their profession.
- Support and positive working relationships with key staff so that you can fulfil your duties and responsibilities.
- Well behaved children who love to learn
- A strong team who support all staff to achieve excellence in their individual roles
- A motivated school community that is proud of all that we achieve together
- A well-resourced school that embraces challenge
