Classroom Support Staff job summary

Support Staff - This is a fixed term contract for one year. The role will be for 32.92 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.35pm (38 weeks per year)

We are passionate about developing children as learners and are looking for a kind, nurturing, enthusiastic and creative Classroom Support Staff to support our team in delivering high-quality learning at The Horsell Village School.

The advertised post offers a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to work as part of an experienced team. We are keen to appoint a new member to our team who will share our high expectations and have a real thirst for learning and success. There is a real desire and commitment from all to make the school even better. You will need to have excellent communication skills, be committed and flexible and be a team player.

The role will involve:

• Assisting the class teacher in creating and developing the very best teaching and learning opportunities in line with school policies.

• Assisting the class teacher in creating a secure and safe learning environment for every child.

• To work with children who have specific SEND needs

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8.30am to 3.35pm (32.92 hours). Term time only (38 weeks)

Salary:

SWAN Grade 3 - FTE £23,576, actual is £17,592

Closing date: Friday, 27th June 2025 at 12.00pm

Interview date: Wednesday, 2nd July 2025

Start date: September 2025
