  • Experience and understanding of planning, monitoring and evaluating the progress of pupils
  • Experience of teaching children with SEND
  • Understand the principles of assessment, observations and record keeping
  • Expertise to use ICT to enhance and enrich the curriculum
  • Using a positive approach to promote learning and excellent behaviour
  • Being flexible and adaptable
  • Skills to support inclusion teaching and learning
  • Ability to promote consistent positive discipline
  • Effective skills in planning, teaching, assessing and target setting
  • Ability to work as a team, sharing ideas and expertise
  • Has the ability to seek, listen to and act upon advice
  • Having high expectations of pupils
  • Inclusion and strategies for engaging all learners
  • Develop appropriate and successful relationships with children
  • Understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in school

  • Knowledge of how to establish a secure, stimulating, inclusive learning environment with a sound understanding of the primary curriculum
