Classroom Teacher job summary
Michael Drayton Junior School is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join them, starting September 2026.
Applicants should be vibrant and creative and ready to join a friendly, but focused team and have a strong commitment to raising achievement and attainment. We welcome and encourage applicants who have experience across primary education and also welcome applications from ECT's.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their role as a professional in a rich learning environment and will be encouraged to contribute to the school’s vision of continuous improvement.
Michael Drayton Junior School is a 5-form entry school with a PAN of 160. We recently welcomed OFSTED for an ungraded inspection in May 2025. Michael Drayton prides itself on being at the heart of an active and caring community: Hartshill Village, serving not only Hartshill, but local areas including Galley Common, Ansley Common, Camphill and Stockingford.
Through our outward facing approach, we are able to work in partnership and collaborate with Nuneaton Education Alliance, Nuneaton Consortium, John Taylor Research School and Origin Maths Hub.
Our rich and broad curriculum stimulates creativity and sparks children's imagination. At the heart of our knowledge and skilled based curriculum is an emphasis on the National Trust’s ’50 things to do before you’re 11 and 3/4'.’ A love for the great outdoors along with preparing our pupils for 21st Century industry ensures our curriculum not only offers our pupils their curriculum entitlement but curriculum enrichment.
