What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced SEND Class Teacher to join our vibrant and inclusive Resource Base. The base comprises two classes: Cherry Class (EYFS/KS1) and Sycamore Class (KS2), supporting children with autism and/or social communication difficulties.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated practitioner with a genuine passion for SEND and inclusion. You will play a key role in helping children achieve excellent outcomes, thrive socially and emotionally, and successfully integrate with their mainstream peers.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a skilled and reflective teacher with high expectations for all pupils.
  • Demonstrate a calm, positive and consistent approach to supporting children with complex SEND.
  • Champion inclusive teaching and learning strategies tailored to the needs of each child.
  • Deliver a bespoke curriculum that prioritises social communication, emotional regulation, and a child-centred ‘TEACCH’ approach to learning.

This is a unique role leading a small class of up to 13 pupils, supported by a high ratio of experienced support staff. You will work collaboratively within a strong team and contribute to whole-school development, including sharing best practice with mainstream colleagues.
