Classroom Teaching Assistant job summary
Knavesmire Primary School is seeking to recruit a Classroom Teaching Assistant to work in our Upper Key Stage Two classes. The successful applicant will support the Year 6 cohort (we have two classes) under the direction of teaching staff. The role will involve responsibility for some learning activities and interventions, and a significant pastoral role.
The person we are looking for will have experience that is appropriate to working with children in a learning environment, and an awareness of children’s development and learning. They will also have excellent interpersonal skills in order to build relationships with a range of staff, children, young people and their families and carers.
