Cleaner job summary

We would like to recruit a dedicated, hardworking and reliable cleaner to join our site team. Our site team works together to ensure that our school premises are kept clean and tidy, providing a safe environment for our children and staff.

Your main duties will include:

  • Daily classroom and shared area cleaning
  • Maintaining washroom cleanliness
  • Mopping hard floors and vacuuming carpeted areas
  • Emptying waste and recycling bins
  • Clean any spillages (including any body fluid) using correct cleaning materials and with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Deep cleaning during school holidays or when required
  • General porterage duties required for cleaning eg moving chairs and tables plus organising storage of cleaning materials.

Ideally you will have previous experience of cleaning in either a domestic or commercial setting although full training will be given. You must be able to manage your time effectively to complete tasks to a high standard. You will be able to work with minimum supervision and will take pride in your work.

The hours will be 3.30 - 6.00pm Monday-Friday term time only. There will also be a requirement for 12.5 hours over 2 days in the summer for a deep clean on a mutually agreed date.
