Brookfield Primary School Champions wish to appoint a hardworking, caring, nurturing Cleaner to join our school. You will work with a team to ensure that our children have a happy, active and safe environment. You will undertake cleaning of allocated areas to a high standard of cleanliness, you will be responsible for equipment and materials. You should be able to follow clear instructions and work in an efficient and safe way.
Working at Brookfield Primary School, you will be part of the LEARNERs’ Trust, a large MAT operating across, Derby, Derbyshire and Rotherham. The trust is a close community of schools that collaborate at every level to support the achievement of pupils and staff.
The candidate should perform their duties in line with health and safety as well as other regulations such as COSH. Your work will be subject to supervisory checks from the Site Manager. There may be elements of working in awkward positions such as bending, crouching, kneeling. The work may also be physically demanding including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling or pushing. Work is repetitive.
We are looking for someone who works to high standards and is committed to operate equipment, manual or electric, domestic or industrial safely. The successful candidate will reflect upon and improve their own practice, has energy and a sense of humour and will embrace the ethos of our school – Welcoming, Achieving, Respecting and Magical.
Although you will primarily work after school and have limited contact with pupils and their families, we have a high expectation with Safeguarding and as such we may perform online checks .
Continued professional development will be an expectation, as well as attendance outside normal term time for deep cleans as required.
Duties are listed on the job description but any additional duties will be commensurate with the grade and needs of the school
