Cleaner - Studley Green job summary

Location: Chiltern Wood School – (Studley Green Site)

Grade: Range 1a (£3971.80 Actual salary, (£11.98 per hour)

Hours: 7.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (3.30pm – 5.00pm)

Responsible to: Caretaker

Chiltern Wood School is a Special School currently supporting over 200 students over three sites. Due to expansion at our Studley Green site in September 2025 we are seeking to employ an additional cleaner to join our team.

As part of the expansion of our site, we are actively recruiting a cleaner to join our team.

The Cleaner will undertake general cleaning duties to provide a clean, hygienic and safe environment and join a newly formed team, at an exciting time in our school’s development.

No formal qualifications or previous experience is required, as initial training in basic cleaning methods and the use of associated materials and equipment will be provided. The successful candidate will be invited to attend an induction day with other new starters.

This role will work collaboratively with the existing Cleaner and Caretaker and it is important that they have good communication skills.
