Cleaner (Maternity Cover)

Reporting to: Estates Manager

Main Purpose

We’re looking for a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our school team on a maternity cover contract. You’ll play a key role in helping us provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors. Whether you’ve worked in a school before or not, if you take pride in a job well done and have a great work ethic, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of our site team—or occasionally working independently—you’ll be responsible for:

  • Daily cleaning of classrooms, toilets, corridors and shared spaces
  • Sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces
  • Emptying and sanitising bins
  • Replenishing cleaning supplies (e.g. soap, toilet paper)
  • Reporting any maintenance or damage issues you notice
  • Following health and safety guidance, including safe use of cleaning equipment
  • Carrying out deeper cleaning tasks during school holidays
  • Occasionally, you may help with other duties under the guidance of the Estates Manager.
