CLEANER

10 hours per week (6.15 – 8.15 am Monday to Friday)

All year round – permanent

Full time annual salary - £24,997. Actual salary - £6,755.95

We are looking to recruit a hardworking, dependable and flexible cleaner to join our small and friendly team. This is a vital role in helping us provide a safe, clean and welcoming environment so that our school is a comfortable, clean and well-maintained environment for all users. The role will also provide cover to the school’s on-site nursery during holiday periods.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, sweeping and dusting of classrooms, bathrooms and communal areas

• Comply with all relevant health & safety and infection control policies and procedures

• Ensure all cleaning supplies are used and stored safely and stocks are replenished, as required

• Maintain equipment in good working condition

• Report any maintenance or hygiene issues to the cleaning supervisor/facilities manager.

The ideal candidate:

• Will have proven experience as a cleaner or similar role in a school or childcare setting

• Understands the importance of maintaining hygiene and safety in environments with children

• Has knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling of cleaning equipment

• Can work efficiently, independently and takes pride in high standards

• Is physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, lifting and bending.
