Cleaner job summary

Please note, this position involves medium level lifting/carrying/physical exertion. Therefore, you must be physically fit and able to lift chairs and tables, with the assistance of another staff member as required. The ability to work under pressure is also essential as this position involves differing tasks within a limited timescale.

- The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the school building and facilities are clean, tidy and well maintained to a high standard at all times. Duties include polishing, emptying bins, cleaning toilets, cleaning surfaces and floors, hoovering and ensuring dispensers and cleaning consumables are replenished and available.

Applicants should possess excellent attention to detail and organisational skills along with a flexible approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This position is for 1.5-2 hour per day and can be completed anytime between 3.30-5.30pm.

The schools are committed to stringent safeguarding procedures (including the PREVENT agenda), therefore, this position will include full adherence to safer recruitment guidelines.

This will include a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencement of employment and we will also apply for references prior to interview from your current/most recent employer.
