Cleaner job summary

We are seeking to appoint a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our Site Team and help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors. This is a temporary 6-month position, working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 3.00pm to 7.00pm during term time, with hours adjusted during school holidays.

Working alongside the caretaking and cleaning teams, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the school site, including classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas. The successful candidate will take pride in their work, have good attention to detail and be able to work effectively as part of a team. Cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided.

The role involves a range of cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, wiping surfaces, emptying bins, replenishing supplies and ensuring areas are maintained to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants to play an important part in supporting the day-to-day running of a busy secondary school.
