About the Role
The primary purpose of the Cleaner role is to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for the school's diverse community of pupils, staff, and visitors. As a member of the site team, the Cleaner plays a vital role in supporting the school's vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean classrooms, shared areas, and other designated spaces to a high standard, ensuring they are well-maintained and conducive to learning.
- Cleaning, washing, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing and vacuum cleaning of designated areas to the required standards.
- Cleaning of toilets and washrooms to the required standard where allocated.
- Using powered equipment where necessary (scrubbing machines, wet pick-up machines, vacuum cleaners).
- Replenish consumables (e.g., soap, paper towels) as needed.

- Someone who is able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of the school
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with pupils, staff and visitors
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Someone who understands the importance of safeguarding and wellbeing in a school setting.
