Cleaner job summary
Normal cleaning hours: 11 per week Monday – Friday 15:15 – 17:30 (17:15 finish Friday). Term time only with the possibility of additional hours where required during the holidays.
Reporting to the Caretaker under the direction of the School Business Manager. To carry out cleaning and key holder duties, contributing to the provision of a clean, safe, secure and hygienic environment for the establishment/work area concerned. Working individually and as part of a small team to ensure the programme of work is completed to a high standard.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Undertaking general cleaning duties in line with agreed standards and schedule for the establishment, including a range of different tasks across the premises
Responsible for the safe and effective operation of commercial cleaning and all other equipment in line with training instructions and expected standards
Responsible for the safe and effective use of prescribed chemical agents and use of relevant PPE as advised
Responsible for ensuring all Health and Safety procedures and policies are understood and adhered to. Reporting any discrepancies or concerns immediately for resolution.
Taking annual leave only in school holidays
