Actual salary (£5,675 per annum)
Contract Type: Term Time Only + an additional 5 training days
Fixed-term (31st August 2026)
Hours of work: 10 hours per week (2.30 - 4.30 pm) - Please note that the working hours for this role are fixed and non-negotiable

Close to Leeds and Wakefield, Cockburn Haigh Road Academy is situated in the friendly community of Rothwell.
Currently an infant school, we have two Key Stages; the Foundation Stage [ages 3-5yrs] and Key Stage 1 [ages 5-7yrs]. At present, children move on to Rothwell Victoria Junior School at the end of Year Two.
Our Early Years staff ensure the children learn and achieve through a stimulating and play based curriculum. The provision of a wealth of learning experiences and opportunities, both inside and out create a foundation for future learning.
Our pupils are well behaved and welcoming and their achievements across the curriculum are a credit to the pupils and staff.
Our hard working, dedicated and skilled team include teachers, a higher level teaching assistant (HLTA), teaching assistants, lunchtime assistants, a senior administrator, an assistant administrator and ground premises manager, all led and supported by Jacqueline Padgett, the Headteacher.
The school day begins at 8.50am and finishes at 3.10pm, and each and every day is packed full of new and exciting learning opportunities for all our pupils with facilities and resources that help create a stimulating environment.
