DEMAT and Little Thetford CE Primary School are looking to appoint a Clerk to Governors, to its Local Governing Body, to start March 2024.
As part of the Diocese of Ely Multi-Academy Trust (DEMAT), Little Thetford CE Primary School is a small, family school where every child is valued, respected, and nurtured. Our aim as a school is to provide a warm, friendly atmosphere in a safe, caring environment where children will be happy and successful.
The purpose of the Clerks role is to ensure the Local Governing Board operates efficiently and effectively in line with its Terms of Reference and other related documentation. The Clerk will be accountable to the Local Governing Body, working effectively with the Chair of Governors, Headteacher and governors. The Clerk will be responsible for advising the Local Governing Body on, duties and powers and will work within the broad current legislative framework. The Clerk will secure the continuity of the Local Governing Body’s business and observe confidentiality requirements.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Clerk to join our highly committed team of Governors.
The successful applicant will be:
Highly organised and able to set clear priorities in managing their workload
Able to work calmly under pressure
Able to show a ‘can-do’ attitude and seek solutions to problems
