Reporting to: LAB Chair / Headteacher / DoWMAT

Conditions of Service: 40 hours per annum

The Local Academy Board of Pinvin CE Academy Schoolis seeking to appoint aClerk to the Local Academy Board.

MAIN PURPOSES OF THE JOB

  • The Clerk to the Local Academy Board (LAB) will be accountable to the LAB, working effectively with the Chair of the LAB, and with the Headteacher and other governors. The Clerk will be responsible for advising the LAB on constitutional and procedural matters, duties and powers and will work within the current legislative framework. The Clerk will secure the continuity of LAB business and observe confidentiality.

Applicants should state any previous experience or areas of expertise they may be able to bring to the role.

The duties and responsibilities allocated to the post will be based on the skills, experience, knowledge and qualifications of the individual appointed, which will determine the salary grade. The role involves some evening work.
