Join Our Team as a Cluster Finance Officer

Are you a detail-oriented and organised individual with a passion for finance and education? We are seeking a dedicated Cluster Finance Officer to support our schools' finance functions, ensuring all income and expenditure are accurately tracked and compliant with Group policy.

As a key member of the finance team, you will manage payments for educational visits and enrichment activities, liaise with trip leaders, maintain accurate financial records, and process supplier invoices. You will also be responsible for applying for grants to support disadvantaged students, booking travel for school trips, and maintaining compliance with audit and data protection requirements.

The ideal candidate will have excellent numeracy skills, strong communication abilities, and a methodical approach to work. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and finance systems is essential, and previous experience in a school setting is desirable. You should be a team player who can also work independently, manage deadlines effectively, and adapt flexibly to the needs of the school.

If you are enthusiastic about making a difference in the educational sector and supporting students' access to enriching experiences, we would love to hear from you.

Please note this role works across both Wye School and Chilmington Green School.

Wye School caters for Years 7 - 11 with a roll of 600, housed in a building situated in the beautiful Kent Downs countryside, offering an outstanding learning environment for staff and students. The school is dedicated to ensuring each student gains the knowledge, confidence and skills to make a success of their future lives. Students are well behaved and hardworking and our staff form a friendly, inclusive and committed team. As the smallest local secondary school, great pride is taken in strong relationships internally and with parents and the community.

Chilmington Green School is a co-educational, non-selective Secondary school which opened in September 2023. It will grow to become a 6-form entry school with a sixth form of 240 pupils. The school will build on United Learning’s successful track record locally and nationally, providing an excellent secondary education for local children. Our values of Ambition, Respect and Determination underpin the ethos and culture of our school. Furthermore, being part of a newly establishing school offers excellent professional development and future career prospects.
