The Governors of The Gainsborough Charles Baines Community Primary School are looking to appoint a temporary (to 31 July 2027) co-headteacher to work with the current Headteacher to take on the challenge of ensuring the continued growth and development of our school. We maintain the very highest expectations and aspirations for all pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and those who are disadvantaged. At Charles Baines School we are committed to raising aspirations and enabling all children to succeed, by developing confident lifelong learners within a caring and inclusive school.
As a co-headteacher of Charles Baines you will:
- Work with the current Headteacher to help staff deliver the actions and achieve the milestones of the Rapid Improvement Plan
- Have a thorough understanding of systems for safeguarding and child protection to ensure the welfare of all children
- Demonstrate a commitment to getting the best outcomes for all pupils and promoting the values of the school
- Fulfil the professional responsibilities of a headteacher, as set out in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD).
