What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Headteacher who will work closely with our substantive headteacher to lead the school forward. The successful candidate will inspire and unite our committed staff, ensuring the continued delivery of a broad, balanced, and creative curriculum that places reading, writing, and mathematics at its core, while also emphasising personal, social, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional leadership and strategic direction, upholding the school’s ethos and values.
  • Foster a culture of high expectations, ensuring the highest educational standards for all pupils.
  • Lead on the implementation of a creative and engaging curriculum, supporting both academic and personal growth.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, governors, and the wider community to ensure the best outcomes for our children.
  • Maintain and develop a safe, inclusive, and enriching school environment.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven track record of successful senior leadership experience within a primary school.
  • A commitment to continued professional development and a passion for lifelong learning.
  • Experience across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2 curriculum.
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and the ability to lead with integrity, inspiration, and creativity.
  • Ability to work effectively in partnership with our existing headteacher, staff, governors, parents, and the local community.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
