College Counsellor job summary

Reporting to the Mental Health and Wellbeing Lead you will work as part of our Achievement & Support department to promote the emotional wellbeing of students. The position is part-time, the number of hours per week is 15 hours over two days (Thursday and Friday), term time only.

Applicants do not necessarily need to have experience of working in education but should be passionate about the sector. You will join a team of experienced counselling professionals who provide a dedicated counselling service to students. The counselling team work closely with all our pastoral support departments and the safeguarding team.

The successful candidate must have a recognised qualification in counselling and experience of working with children and young people. They must have a warm and compassionate approach with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
