Job/Person Summary
Do you want to make a real difference?
We are looking for a dedicated colleague that has the flexibility to work within an outstanding school, delivering support to all of our stakeholders including families, students and staff.
Receptionist role is for two days. Hours to be worked are 8.30 – 15.30 with a 1 hour lunch break.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact in our very busy school office and will be expected to deliver exceptional customer service to pupils, families and visitors to the school. The role will include general administrative duties such as answering the telephones, message taking, photocopying, sending e-mails, as well as using several schools IT systems.
Learning support assistant to work for three days. Hours to be worked are 8.50 – 12.15 & 13.15-15.20.
The responsibilities for the learning support role will include supporting learning in core subjects and intervention when children have not grasped a concept.
You may also be asked to assist other adults in the class with the preparation of resources and general classroom duties.
The successful candidate must:
- Be a calm, positive and effective communicator, confident in liaising with all colleagues, children, parents, governors and outside agencies
- Be able to use initiative and thrive through a ‘can do’ approach to solving problems
- Be flexible in the role and tasks undertaken and can work with frequent interruption
- Be able to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
- Look after the welfare of children through a first aider role
- Have strong IT and administrative skills (MS Office) to produce letters and other documents
- Be able to work on their own as well as being part of a larger team
- Be able to work under pressure whilst still providing the best customer service.
We are looking for someone who:
- has high expectations of all children
- is able to use their own initiative and be proactive
- is able to communicate well with others
- is a good team player
- has excellent subject knowledge in English and Maths and at least a Grade C or equivalent in both subjects
