Communication & Marketing Administrator / Media Technician job summary

Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Communication & Marketing Administrator to join our friendly team. We are looking for somebody who can work predominantly for Cirencester Deer Park School but also throughout all the schools within the trust.

The hours are 30 hours a week across Monday to Friday, term time only plus 3 weeks. however there is a little flexibility with this.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain the content of the Cirencester Deer Park School’s website ensuring that these are relevant and up to date.

Proactively seek material for the website, including photographs, encouraging staff to develop online news items.

Contribute to the design and development of websites across all schools within the Trust along with internally produced digital and paper-based marketing and communications material.

Lead on the production and distribution of the weekly newsletter to parents and carers, ensuring content is relevant, well-written, and visually engaging. This requires a high level of literacy and a confidence in written communication.

Photography - take high quality photographs throughout the school week, capturing the day to day vibrancy and key moments of school life.

Manage an organised digital archive of photos and videos, ensure compliance with permissions and GDPR.

Maintain the content of the school’s digital and non-digital signage ensuring that this is relevant and up-to date.

Maintain, and further develop, the school’s social media presence on appropriate platforms.

Contribute to the wider development of the school’s communication and marketing strategy (working with the relevant member of SLT on this planning).

Administer and support staff, pupil and parental access to our cloud-based single sign-on (SSO) platform.

Media Technician

We welcome candidates who may have skills in providing technical support for school shows, assemblies, and events, including lighting, sound, and audiovisual (AV) systems, although these skills are not essential.

Requirements:

In order to undertake the range of tasks required the jobholder needs detailed knowledge and experience of web page design. The ability to produce attractive web and digital and non-digital displays that communicate effectively with users. Good knowledge and skills in the use of SharePoint, MS Teams, Mailchimp and our cloud-based single sign-on (SSO) platform development.

They must have excellent communication skills and strong literacy skills and be confident in writing for parents / staff and wider audiences.

Have strong photography and media skills with a keen eye for visual presentation and design layout.

The jobholder must be highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks and the willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and performances.

Experience within a school environment would be desirable but not essential.

Sound and lighting experiences for the provision of technical support for school productions and events is desirable.
