Computer Science - second in charge job summary

We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational teacher of Computer Science to support the leadership of this growing team in delivering an outstanding curriculum in our brand new state of the art building which opened last year. Last summer our first cohort sat their GCSEs and we opened a thriving Sixth Form in September, including Computer Science A Level and T Level Digital as part of our broad range of subjects. The successful candidate will take on responsibility of part of the curriculum, which will be agreed with the Subject Lead, and depend on your strengths and the areas you would like to develop.

Saracens High School has a family ethos and is committed to supporting staff in this rewarding job, while recognising the stress it puts upon us. With generous teacher loadings, the opportunity for colleagues to take family days, and access to a staff counsellor, we do all we can to look after our staff.

With strong ties to the wider Saracens organisation, we base all we do on the values Discipline, Hard Work, Honesty, and Humility, and our approach focuses on character development and making memories, as much as outstanding academic attainment. Last year, KS4 progress was in the top 20% nationally, and our contextual value-added was in the top 7%.

Our aim is to develop aspirational life-long learners, who will thrive in their chosen career path, embracing our values, and demonstrating a strong moral purpose and a desire to make a positive contribution to society and their local community.
