What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cover Cleaning Operative to join our team at Samphire Star Education Trust. This job will involve working across all schools in the Trust (Astor Secondary School, Barton Junior School, Shatterlocks Infant and Nursery School and White Cliffs Primary and Nursery School).

The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness across classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
  • Ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and ready for the next school day
  • Reporting any maintenance or safety issues

Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A commitment to health and safety and safeguarding standards

Please note, as this is a cover role, the hours per week are subject to change. The expected hours are between 10 and 15 per week.
