Cover Manager / Administrator job summary

  • Hours of work: 37 hours per week
  • Working pattern: Monday-Friday (with a 7:30am start)
  • Term weeks: Term-Time only, plus 2 weeks
  • FTC term: Start date - ASAP
A job-share will be considered for this role.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have secretarial/administrative experience preferably in a school based setting.
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be competent with ICT skills including use of word (including mail merge), excel and PowerPoint.
  • Be friendly and approachable.
  • Be able to work as part of a team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • To organise cover for absent staff, create a daily cover rota and organise efficient and effective cover of lessons by supply staff and teachers.
  • Provide cover for a broad range of duties associated within the administration function in school.
  • Provide excellent customer service as the first point of contact, both face to face and via the phone for internal and external stakeholders.
