Cover Supervisor job summary
We are excited to be recruiting for the post of Cover Supervisor and are looking for someone who wants to join a school community which values the wellbeing of its staff and invests in professional development.
We require a Cover Supervisor to join our team to deliver lessons to students, when teachers are absent. This role involves working 32.5 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am and 4.00pm , term-time only plus five training days .
At Goldington Academy the Cover Supervisor:
1. Is the first choice “cover” person, where possible.
2. Provides in class support for teaching staff or for individual students (in addition to any individual needs support that may already be provided).
3. Assists in the preparation of teaching resources.
Having achieved a 2022 Ofsted grading of ‘good’ overall,
with personal development, leadership and management being recognised as
‘outstanding,’ we are determined not to be complacent and want to achieve even
more for our students and staff. Our motto is ‘Engaging Minds, Nurturing
Success and Inspiring Futures,’ and the school seeks to achieve this in many
different ways.
Our February 2022 Ofsted report begins with the following
paragraph: “Pupils are proud of their school. They enthuse about it to their
parents, who know that they feel safe and happy. Pupils have many subjects to
choose from, so everyone gets a chance to shine. They know that leaders have
very high expectations of what they can achieve.”
We were delighted that our 2023 GCSE results confirmed we
are in the top 2% of schools in the country for progress of pupils between ages
11 and 16.

Full support from a dedicated team of senior
