We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our busy and vibrant high school and help really make a difference to the futures of our young people. We are able to consider applicants on either a 32.5 hour / 38 week (term-time only) contract worked over five days or part time (hours per week to be agreed) basis. This post is required to cover a period of maternity leave. Please view the job description for further details of the role.

The successful candidate will:

• Have some previous school-based employment or experience.
• Have the ability to manage student behaviour and supervise the completion of work set for the cover lesson.
• Be confident in decision making, and have the ability to be assertive when required.
• Have good communication skills.

Stowmarket High School is situated in picturesque mid Suffolk with excellent commuter links to Cambridge, Ipswich and Norwich. We are an inclusive 11 – 18 Academy and part of Waveney Valley Academies Trust. 6th Form is currently not being offered. Construction of a new school is now complete on our current site and we have moved into our new state of the art school.
