What skills and experience we're looking for

With effect from September 2024, we are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join the Academy’s Student Support Team. The Student Support Team is a very close-knit and effective group of individuals who provide high quality and personalised care and support in the belief that this is key to student success and enjoyment during their time at the Academy.

The successful candidate will be involved mainly in the supervision of classes where work has been set by absent teachers or students who are undertaking self-directed learning. This post will be open to any applicant with suitable skills and experience. This position may be particularly attractive to graduates who are thinking of pursuing a career in teaching in the longer term.

Applicants for this post must be enthusiastic and possess a positive and determined character which is seen as an essential part of the role. Interviews will take place during the week commencing Monday 15 July 2024 and shortlisted applicants will be contacted by email with details of the arrangements. The post will be offered subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
