What skills and experience we're looking for
We
are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, confident person to join our fantastic
team as a Cover Supervisor.
In this key position, your primary duties will be to provide classroom cover during the sort-term absence of a teacher, supervise students, implement set work and generally assist students to undertake and engage in the set learning activities to support their learning.
The successful candidate will contribute to the positive ethos of the school and will:
- Be educated to GCSE level with proficiency in Maths and English
- Have experience of working in a teaching/learning/child support environment
- Possess an ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
- Have an adaptable and flexible attitude
- Be a good communicator with the ability to clarify and explain instructions clearly
- Have well-developed interpersonal skills
- Empathise with our students and be sympathetic to their needs
