Cover Supervisor job summary
Crowdys Hill School is a dynamic and expanding special school for students with moderate learning difficulties and complex needs from across the Borough of Swindon.
We are now seeking to employ versatile and creative Cover Supervisor to work across our provision. You will be working with teachers to lead lessons, due to teacher absence, working with students from age 4 to 19, with a range of SEN.
Our school takes a very person-centred approach to each of our students’ learning to maximise their independence and realise their aspirations. This really is a very exciting time to join the team here at Crowdys Hill as the school is continuing to grow and develop.
This post is suitable for qualified teachers, and unqualified teachers with extensive teaching experience working in primary or secondary schools.
Experience of working in a SEN setting would be advantageous, however specialist support and training will be provided for outstanding candidates wishing to make the career-fulfilling move into special education.
We will support you in understanding and managing the special needs of our students, and give you an invaluable insight and appreciation of the rewards to be gained from working in a school such as ours.
At least two years in an education setting is necessary for this role.
A calm and reliable attitude with common sense is required.
