Salary: Grade 6, Points 7-12: £11,357 - £12,301 Actual Salary (£25,584 - £27,711 FTE)

Hours of work: 19.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

We are now looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor within our Support Team who shares our core values which are set out clearly in the job description. This post will be a wonderfully rewarding experience for the successful candidate as they will be joining a supportive team which is well resourced and part of our wider Meridian Trust family.

The opportunity

  • A great chance to work with a strong, fun enthusiastic team providing high-quality cover during the short-term absence class teachers, actively engaging with the class, to contribute to raising standards.
  • Opportunity to work across all departments and roles of the Academy.
  • Contribute to the planning and evaluation of work set for covering lesson.
  • Provide valuable feedback on learning activities and contribute towards development planning.

The ideal candidate

  • Good educational background with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience of subject background and working within the education sector
  • Knowledge of using different IT software such as Microsoft Office, Email
  • interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, students, parents and outside agencies.
  • Positive and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work within a team as well as on own initiative.
  • Knowledge of the need for confidentiality and awareness of child protection issues
  • Flexibility of working hours, committed and reliable with excellent timekeeping
