Cover Supervisor - Fixed Term job summary

Cover Supervisors are responsible for the management of classes when the regular teacher is absent and during PPA sessions. They are accountable for ensuring that learning is taking place and all students are making progress. You will be required to oversee classes across the full range of subjects although individual strengths will be utilised where possible. When cover is not required, Cover Supervisors support in a range of other activities such a development of teaching resources in individual curriculum areas or assisting in the SEN Department.
Candidates must have experience of working with children and young adults.
Numeracy and literacy skills, equivalent to GCSE Grade C in Maths and English are essential. Candidates must possess effective communication and organisational skills, competence in the use of ICT to support teaching and learning, ability to work with minimum supervision within a team and ability to manage students in a classroom setting.
