Cover Supervisor job summary
We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Cover Supervisor to join our team. We pride ourselves on our high expectations, commitment to ensuring pupil progress and high-quality teaching and learning provision for all. You will share these values and be able to enthuse and motivate our pupils with your passion, creative teaching, presence and personality.
Our Cover Supervisor is responsible for the allocation of all cover lessons, including the ones they are delivering themselves and any additional lessons which may need to be covered by agency staff. They will therefore be the first point of contact for the supply agencies we use. They will be the person staff inform of pre-planned absences and cover requests. They will start the day by checking for any additional absences, due to staff illness and will then plan and allocate cover for the day. Each day they will cover a number of lessons themselves with the pre-planned work left by teaching colleagues. Training will be given by the existing post holder, whose role had involved in school meaning they can no longer fulfil the requirements of Cover Supervisor.
Come and find out more by getting in touch, we would welcome staff who would like to take a tour of our school.
The Wade Deacon Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory medical clearance.
