Cover Supervisor Manager job summary

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor Manager to arrange cover for absent teaching staff, liaise with external agencies, induct and oversee supply staff and line manage our cover own supervisor(s).

The successful candidate will also cover lessons, deliver set work and manage student behaviour.

During non-cover periods, you will be expected to undertake duties including supporting students in lesson, mentoring, exam invigilation, general administration and break/lunchtime supervision.

Classroom experience and the ability to engage effectively with children is a requirement, along with the ability to build positive relationships with agencies, supply staff and school staff.

This role is for 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 6.45am-3.15pm, term time plus 1 day for staff training.

What we can offer you:

At All Saints Catholic College, we aim to create a happy workplace culture through promoting a healthy work/life balance. We do that by providing a package of flexible employee benefits, including:

  • An attractive pension scheme for both Teaching and Support staff.
  • A high-quality wellbeing package including medical cover, counselling, physiotherapy, fast track medical cover, care service and a 24 hour GP-helpline.
  • Care First Advice - a 24/7 information and counselling service.
  • We are part of the Cycle to Work scheme. Tax free bikes and safety equipment can be payable by payroll deduction through a partnership with Cyclescheme.
  • Free parking

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals who are able to work as part of the whole staff team, and who will support and uphold the Catholic ethos and practices of the school.

All Saints is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Therefore, we expect all workers, volunteers and employees to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including online searches and a satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Record with Barred List check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

It is an offence to apply for the role if an applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children (where the role involves this type of regulated activity).

A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.

Commitment to safeguarding

At All Saints Catholic College the highest level of safeguarding is practised in every aspect to ensure all students and staff feel safe. This enables our community to be able to thrive in a supportive environment within the College and to be able to raise any concerns with confidence of appropriate action.
