Cover Supervisor / PE Specialist job summary
Part Time (32.5 hours per week) / Term time only (39 weeks)
We are offering an ideal opportunity for recently trained PE specialist teachers. This PE specialist Cover Supervisor role is a great stepping stone to gain experience in a supportive environment for your next career move. Previous staff appointed in this role have gone on to be valued teachers and middle leaders within our school setting.
We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor who is a PE specialist to provide PE Cover and timetabled lessons as well as general cover to ensure continuity of learning during teacher absence. This is a diverse and varied role across all curriculum areas with strong connections built throughout all departments.
Required to work 32.5 hours per week (8.15am–3.15pm Monday – Friday) or part time will be considered, term time only (39 weeks per year).
A firm but non-confrontational approach towards discipline is essential, as are excellent communication skills. Experience of working with young people is desirable, although full training will be provided. Applicants need to have a good general education and be educated to GCSE level C or equivalent in Maths and English. Graduates looking for future teaching careers will be considered.
