Philip Morant School and College was judged as “Good” in all areas by Ofsted in September 2023. We are looking for a cover supervisor who can be a key part in our ongoing improvement journey.

This role will support classes in the absence of a teacher, ensuring that good standards of behaviour for learning are met and that students engage in the work set. The cover supervisor will support students to ensure they can be “the best they can be.”

  • The successful candidate will work 31.25 hours per week, 8:05am - 3:05pm Monday to Friday (including a 45-minute unpaid break).

  • This is a 39-week-per-year role, which includes term time and non-pupil days. (term time plus non-pupil days).

A Day in the Life:

You'll be responsible for bringing your passion and expertise to the following areas:

  • Supervising whole classes.

  • Leaving accurate reports for teachers on work completed and engagement from students.

  • When required providing consistency for a longer term absence for a member of staff.

  • Providing supervision to small groups of students.

  • Supporting the whole school provision through trips and activities.
