What skills and experience we're looking for
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering activities that have been prepared by the classroom teacher and supervising self-directed learning to ensure that learning is not disrupted by the teacher's absence, and the curriculum continues to be delivered successfully.
- Setting up the classroom appropriately, ensuring the correct resources are available to deliver the learning activities efficiently, while giving consideration to health and safety guidelines.
- Providing immediate, informal feedback to pupils to ensure that they continue to perform to a high standard, offering support and encouragement as needed.
- Managing pupil behaviour and dealing with any immediate problems to ensure that learning activities run smoothly and pupil safety is maintained at all times.
- Providing feedback and returning any completed work to the classroom teacher so that any further action or follow-up can be conducted promptly.
