Cover Supervisor job summary

The Howard School is seeking to appoint a highly effective Cover Supervisor to join the Cover/Support Department, to start from September 2025.

We are seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to oversee lessons during teacher absences. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, adaptable, and able to maintain a positive and focused classroom environment across a range of subjects.

This is a full-time, term-time (plus 1 week) only permanent role, paid on the NJC point C1, 6-19 (£25,183 - £31,067 – actual salary calculated on a pro rata basis which equates to £21,660.65 - £26,721.65 per annum)

The working pattern will consist of 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, with a 30 minute unpaid break each day.
